India Is Losing the Race

A fact that most westerners fail to see is that, few of the democratic countries actually evolve into a developed ones because they are democratic. Singapore, Taiwan, and South Korean were all autocratic before they advanced into semi-democratic economic power. The reason is simple. If you are democratic and still in a developing phase, chances are, in a globalized world, the multinational corporates will make sure you stay that way for a while, so that they can keep exploiting raw materials, cheap labor, while selling expensive iProducts back to you, until you can no longer afford them. Then they will move on to other "democratic" states. Being democratic certainly make it convenient for corporations to ease their way into control.
